About 17-0
17-0 is a free college football game. Spin for a program and an era, draft ten real players, and see if your team can finish a perfect season.
The idea
Every college football fan has argued about which era's stars were best. 17-0 lets you settle it on the field: put a 1990s running back behind a modern quarterback, pair them with a defense drawn from three different decades, and run the whole thing through a 17-game season.
The game is inspired by squad-building games like 20-0 (NFL), 38-0 (Premier League) and 7a0 (World Cup), rebuilt around the college game: conference races, a championship game and a 12-team playoff.
Players and ratings
The player pool covers 68 programs from the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and ACC, plus Notre Dame, across 8 eras from 1990 to the present. Rosters come from public college football records.
Ratings use a 0 to 99 scale and are graded within each era, so players are measured against the competition they actually faced. They're our own estimates, not official figures. If you think one is wrong, vote on it; those votes help tune future updates.
